Thomas to host summit on emergency housing
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 20 – State Rep. W. Curtis Thomas, in conjunction with Handy White CDC and Morris Chapel CDC, will host a Emergency Housing Summit.
The summit is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church located at the corner of 12th and Lehigh streets.
Thomas said the summit will focus on what homeowners can do if they are at risk of losing their homes. Residents should consider attending if they:
- are having problems paying their mortgage;
- have received an Act 91 or Act 6 notice;
- have received a sheriff sale notice;
- are in foreclosure;
- need their credit checked;
- need help with credit repair; or
- need help with home acquisition.
