Thomas thanks community members for making it a happy holiday

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 28 – State Rep. W. Curtis Thomas is thanking all those who helped make his annual 181st Legislative District Christmas Party a success.

The party, which was held at noon on Dec. 22 at St. Paul’s Community Center, was an event full of activities, entertainment, food and toys for 300 local families and their children.

“It was a great time to share the cheer of the season with neighbors and friends,” Thomas said.

Thomas is thanking the local groups, individuals and businesses which helped make this a merry season for residents, including the Duane Morris Law Firm, the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, former Sen. Earl Baker, Girard Check Cashing and many others. The legislator added that many of these groups made it possible to provide 240 families with turkeys and hams for Thanksgiving.

“Without the generosity of members of our community, this holiday season would have been a lot less bright for many area families,” Thomas said. “Together we are strong and can create the kind of community we all can enjoy and benefit from.”
