James: PennMobile to visit Peace in the Park Festival PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 1 – State Rep. Harold James, D-Phila., recently announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's driver and vehicle services mobile unit, the PennMobile, will visit Philadelphia's Peace in the Park Festival on Saturday, Aug. 2.
The vehicle will be stationed at the Chew Playground, located at 19th and Washington Ave., from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., where it will be available to assist visitors with license and registration renewals. "The PennMobile offers many of the same services as PennDOT Driver's License Centers," James said. "Tomorrow will be an opportunity for people in my district to learn about city and state programs, as well as take advantage of the services offered by the PennMobile. And, at the same time, they can enjoy the many fun-filled activities of the festival." In addition to the PennMobile, the Peace in the Park Festival will host a number of city and state agencies, making many programs and services available to the district's residents, including those who otherwise aren't able to visit the office during regular business hours.
