Brown to sponsor community briefing 

HARRISBURG, Nov. 15 – State Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown will co-sponsor a community briefing at 7 p.m., Thursday at Christian Stronghold Church, 4701 Lancaster Ave., Philadelphia.

The meeting will feature a number of community leaders providing updates on a variety of topics of interest for local residents. Among the topics which will be presented are plans for capital improvements in the city, emergency preparedness and updates on parks and events.

Brown’s staff will be available to help apply for state aid such as LIHEAP, the low income heating program, and answer other questions regarding state services.

“I try to keep my constituents involved in the community. It benefits the entire neighborhood,” Brown said.

Among the groups expected to participate are the city police department, community town watch, and members of city council.
