Public safety forum set for Thursday

HARRISBURG, Feb. 1 -- State Rep. Ronald G. Waters announced that he will hold a public safety forum from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Thursday at the Community Room in Walnut Park Plaza, 6250 Walnut St., Philadelphia.

"This is an opportunity for residents to hear first-hand from police and other public safety officials about the steps they and their families can take to stay safe," said Waters, D-Philadelphia. "This is a free event, and I encourage the community to attend."

Invited guests include Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, members of the Philadelphia Special Victims Unit, members of the 18^th Police District, and town watch members.
