PLBC to celebrate Black History Month with Tuesday event
HARRISBURG, Feb. 3 – The Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus will host a Black History Month Celebration program at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 in the Capitol Rotunda.
State Rep. Ronald G. Waters, PLBC chairman, said the theme for this year’s program is "Black Women in American History and Culture." The program will include performances from the Lincoln University Concert Choir, a historical reenactment of Bessie Coleman by Dr. Daisy Century, and a poetic tribute by MaDonna Awotwi (Sankofa ThePoet).
