Bishop's weatherization presentation program a success
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 22 – State Rep. Louise Williams Bishop, D-Phila., said many constituents in the 192nd Legislative District today learned about and qualified for weatherization programs that are available in Philadelphia.
The program featured Commissioner Wayne Gardner of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and utility representatives who provided people with information on low-income weatherization grants and rebates.
"The presentation was a good opportunity for people in my district to learn how to obtain state funding and help pay for their energy bills," Bishop said. "I was pleased with the public's participation and their interest in the various weatherization programs."
Bishop said Gardner discussed weatherization programs funded by federal stimulus money, tax credits and other resources available to consumers.
