Bishop: senior expo a smashing success

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 – State Rep. Louise Bishop, D-Phila., said she is delighted that hundreds of local senior citizens gathered at Pinn Memorial Baptist Church recently to attend her senior expo.

“I am truly happy that so many senior citizens in my district came to the event to learn about state-related programs and services,” Bishop said. “I certainly enjoyed the time that I spent with senior citizens. It is a wonderful opportunity for me to listen to input from my cherished constituents.”

The event provided seniors with information on property tax issues, health care, prescription drug programs and various other topics that are important to the well-being of senior citizens.

Bishop thanked the many sponsors that made the senior expo a success, including Independence Blue Cross, PECO, Comcast, Bravo Group advertising and other Philadelphia area businesses.
