Next round of applications available for Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program
HARRISBURG, Jan. 23 – State Rep. Kathy Manderino, D-Phila./Montgomery, announced that the next round of applications is available for the state’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program.
The program offers rebates of up to $650 on property taxes or rent paid in 2007.
To qualify for the rebate, you must be 65 or older, a widow or widower 50 or older, or 18 or older with a permanent disability that prevents you from working. Homeowners’ incomes, excluding half of Social Security benefits, cannot exceed $35,000. Renters’ incomes, excluding half of Social Security benefits, must not exceed $15,000.
The deadline to apply is June 30. If you received a rebate for 2006, you will automatically receive a booklet in the mail.
