Former Parker intern selected to National Society of High School Seniors

Philadelphia Electrical and Tech student Jacque Hines worked in Parker's local office

PHILADELPHIA, June 20 – State Rep. Cherelle L. Parker, D-Phila., is pleased to announce that Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School student Jacque Hines, a former intern in Parker's constituent service office in Philadelphia, was recently accepted into the National Society of High School Seniors.

Parker said Hines worked in her Philadelphia office during the summer of 2007 and exemplified professionalism and determination. She said her acceptance into the prestigious organization is no surprise since Hines was an asset to her office while working as an intern.

"The National Society of High School Seniors invites only the top students all across the globe who have achieved academic excellence," Parker said. "Miss Hines is a wonderful young woman who fits this mold thanks to her hard work and commitment to educational success. She is a shining example and I am very happy for her achievements. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Parker will be honoring Hines and her achievement with an official state House citation.
