Appropriations Chairman Evans to tour western Pennsylvania
Visits will include Erie, Mercer, Lawrence, Allegheny, Washington, Fayette, Westmoreland counties
HARRISBURG, May 16 – State Rep. Dwight Evans, D-Phila., chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, will begin a four-day tour of western Pennsylvania legislative districts at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 19 when he meets with several dozen Erie County officials to discuss issues of importance to the state’s northwest region.
On Tuesday, Evans will visit Sharon, Mercer County, and Ellwood City, Lawrence County. On Wednesday he will make stops in Cecil and Washington in Washington County; Uniontown, Connellsville and Perryopolis in Fayette County; and Mt. Pleasant in Westmoreland County. On Thursday, the tour will take him to Rostraver and Monessen in Westmoreland County; and Charleroi, Speers, California and Canonsburg in Washington County.
This will be Evans’ fourth visit to western Pennsylvania since being elected chairman of the House Appropriations Committee 18 months ago.
