Rep Pallone speaks on responsibility of municipalities to pay for police protection

Rep. John Pallone has introduced a bill that would require large municipalities that utilize state police for their local law enforcement, rather than fund a police force of their own, to pay a fee for state police services. He has also introduced a bill that would prohibit large municipalities that use state police for local law enforcement from receiving a portion of the fines collected as the result of state police vehicle citations.
