Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski will honor the brave men and women who served the nation during World War II and the Korean War. During a special ceremony, veterans will receive a Pennsylvania House of Representatives Certificate of Appreciation and a Pennsylvania Commemorative Medal of Honor.

If the veteran is unable to attend the ceremony, a family member may accept the award on their behalf.

If you are a World War II and Korean War veteran in the city of Wilkes-Barre, Plains and Wilkes-Barre townships, Ashley Borough and the Newtown section of Hanover Township and want to participate in this event, please register by March 12 so your certificate can be personalized.

All other veterans will be honored in the near future.
