Petrarca: $7,500 grant to benefit Latrobe Center for Active Adults
HARRISBURG, May 6 – State Rep. Joseph Petrarca today announced a $7,500 state grant has been awarded to the Latrobe Center for Active Adults.
“This grant will enable the center to provide continued services and support to our seniors in the Latrobe community,” Petrarca said. “These funds can be used to make needed refurbishments to the center, or to create a new program or service to help our seniors maintain their independence and wellness.”
The Latrobe Center for Active Adults provides a wide variety of programs and services for seniors, including educational classes, nutritious meals, activities, transportation services, health screenings and more.
The grant announcement occurs during national Older Americans Month – a time to pay tribute to older adults and their contributions to the country and their communities.
The Pennsylvania Lottery is responsible for funding this project.
