Petrarca to host Telephone Town Hall meeting 7 p.m. Thursday

55th District residents can participate Sept. 8 just by answering the phone

HARRISBURG, Sept. 6 – State Rep. Joseph Petrarca, D-Westmoreland/Armstrong/Indiana, is giving busy constituents a chance to participate in democracy from the comfort of their own homes, by hosting a Telephone Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8.

Residents can expect their phones to ring at that time, and if they want to ask a question, participate in issues-based polls, or just listen in, all they have to do is stay on the line.

"I realize that many people in the 55th Legislative District who might have a question about a state issue get busy with other things and never find time to pick up the phone or stop by my office," Petrarca said. "I’m doing this so they can find out how I stand on issues of importance to them, and to make myself even more available for their feedback.”

Petrarca said anyone who wants to ensure that their phone number is in the database used to make the call should contact his office at 724-567-6982, which is the same number they can use to obtain more information.

Those who want to send Petrarca a question in advance to answer during the Telephone Town Hall can do so by emailing it to townhall@pahouse.net.
