Cutting edge research into Alzheimer’s disease and other illnesses is being conducted by the University of Pennsylvania's Institute on Aging. The House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee toured the facility to learn the latest about treatments and research from left are: Dr. Edward Lee, assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine- Rep. Steve Samuelson, Democratic chair of the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee- Rep. Pam DeLissio, committee member- Rep. Tim Hennessey, majority chair of the committee, state Sen. Randy Vulakovich, Republican chair, Senate Aging and Youth Committee- Corey McMillan, Ph.D., research assistant and professor of neurology- Kurt Brunden, Ph.D., professor of pathology and laboratory medicine and director of drug discovery at the Center for Neurodegenerative Research- and Kelvin Luk, Ph.D., research assistant and professor of pathology and laboratory medicine.
