Apply for a SEPTA Key Senior ID card today
As many of you know, SEPTA now has electronic key cards for all of its services, including the Seniors Ride Free program, which allows seniors (those 65 and older) to ride free all day, every day, on SEPTA buses, trolleys, subways and regional rail. If you are 65 and you haven’t yet signed up to get your new SEPTA Key Senior ID card, you can brave the lines at SEPTA headquarters in Philadelphia -- or you can simply stop by my office anytime that’s convenient for you.
Bring a valid, state-issued proof of your birthdate (such as a photo driver’s license, Pennsylvania non-driver’s ID card or passport) to my office at 2030 West Tilghman St. Suite 100, Allentown, PA 18104. You will fill out a short form and have your photograph taken in the office. The whole process takes no more than 5 minutes. Please note, appointments are recommended, but not required. Please call our district office at 610-821-5577 to set up an appointment.
SEPTA will mail your new Key Senior ID card directly to you when it is ready, which will likely be within 2 to 4 weeks.
If you have any questions about the SEPTA Key Senior ID card—what it looks like, how to get it or how to use it—or about any other state-related issue, don’t hesitate to reach out to my staff.
I hope to see you in the office!
