Vázquez to discuss SEPTA renovations with business owners
PHILADELPHIA, May 30 – State Rep. Emilio Vázquez, D-Phila., will host a SEPTA information session with business owners to discuss improvements at the Susquehanna-Dauphin Broad Street Line Station.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, in his satellite office, 1421 W. Susquehanna Ave.
Station elements to be improved include energy-efficient lighting, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, customer amenities, signs, passenger control and cashier facilities, platform tactile warning strips, an A/V public address system, and the installation of elevators. When combined with other proposed improvements, this project will make the station ADA accessible.
Construction will start in the spring, and it is expected to be complete in 2020.
Vázquez’s staff will be on site providing information and answering questions on state-related concerns that constituents and business owners may have.
For more information, constituents can contact Vázquez’s office at (215) 425-5708.
