Williams kicks off spring season of Caln Little League of the Coatesville Area

COATESVILLE, April 9 – State Rep. Dan Williams, D-Chester, joined Little Leaguers of all ages and community members to open the first day of the season for the Caln Little League of the Coatesville Area.

“As a member of the Children & Youth Committee, I’m so pleased to see so many young boys and girls out and active in playing this great American pastime,” Williams said.

Across the street from his district office in Thorndale, Williams, along with local elected officials and county commissioners, opened the spring season for the newly merged Caln and Coatesville Little Leagues. The league offers programs for youth 4 through 18 who are interested in baseball and softball, and a challenger league for young players with disabilities.

“It is fantastic to have the Caln and Coatesville communities coming together to begin a new era of both competitive play and team building,” Williams added. “My greatest thanks to the league for having me help kick off the spring season, and I look forward to hearing the spring sounds just across the street in my district office.”
