Youngblood encourages Philadelphians to apply for DCNR recreation, conservation grants
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 5 – State Rep. Rosita Youngblood, D-Phila., is urging local conservation groups and other interested parties to take advantage of the recreation and conservation grants offered by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
DCNR will accept applications through April 11.
“There is much that can be done to expand the ways in which we utilize our space, and also to further protect the natural beauty of our landscape. This is an opportunity that can benefit a number of different organizations in our community. I strongly encourage Philadelphians to apply for these grants,” Youngblood said.
DCNR made a list of specific priorities it would like grants to focus on that includes: community parks and recreation; land conservation; watershed protection and restoration; rivers implementation; and trails.
