A recent Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article describes Highmark's potential plans to outsource local jobs. I am requesting your input on the issue.

It is incumbent upon the General Assembly to explore any and all options and alternatives in order to prevent the loss of any Pennsylvania jobs.

Highmark enjoys nonprofit status in Pennsylvania, and this provides an additional reason for action.

I want to ensure that no company engaged in shipping jobs overseas and putting local residents out of work enjoys tax incentives and benefits from the Commonwealth. I look forward to working with any and all interested parties to explore alternatives and begin a constructive dialogue to not only preserve local jobs, but look for ways to add jobs in our region.
