The Consumer Affairs Committee recently held a hearing on
H.B. 1726, the Collection Bin Public Notice Act. The bill provides for public notice of the use of donated household items collected at publicly available collection bins.
Do you think the for- or non-profit organizations that set up collection bins should be required to disclose to consumers how much, if any, of the profits made from the donations is used for charitable purposes?
