Rep. Dan Frankel, a longtime advocate of common-sense gun-safety legislation, speaks at a state Capitol rally to members of CeaseFire PA and other supporters of a proposal to require reporting of lost and stolen handguns within 24 hours.

Rep. Frankel speaks at a national news conference in Washington, D.C., in January that was held by the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety to announce the organization’s 2007 Roadmap to State Highway Safety Laws. The only state legislator to speak at the event, Rep. Frankel advocated for the reinstatement of Pennsylvania’s motorcycle helmet law that was repealed in 2003. Since the repeal, Pennsylvania motorcyclist deaths and injuries have increased, producing preventable tragedies and driving up health care costs for everyone.
