About the program

Grants to municipalities to help a community's downtown economic development effort through the establishment of a local organization dedicated to downtown revitalization and the management of downtown revitalization efforts by hiring a full-time professional downtown coordinator. The Department is not accepting planning and new designation applications during fiscal year 2009-10 (through June 30, 2010).
