A Democratic Majority - a brighter future for PA On Tuesday, a 23-vote margin of victory for Rep.-elect Barbara McIlvaine Smith of Chester County completed an epic nationwide Democratic sweep and put the House Democrats back into the Majority at the State Capitol.
With House Democrats driving the agenda, narrow special interests will have to take a backseat to working families.
Democrats had to fight hard just to get a fair hearing on issues like raising the minimum wage or stopping mandatory overtime for nurses when the Republicans were in charge, but now the issues that really matter are going to be at the TOP of the list for debate in 2007.
