Reform Commission starts its work The first meeting of the Speaker's Commission on Legislative Reform was held this week, led by its bipartisan co-chairmen Reps. Josh Shapiro, D-Montgomery, and David Steil, R-Bucks.
The group comprises 24 individuals who are dedicated to ensuring that the Pennsylvania House of Representatives conduct its business in the most open and responsive way possible so that each and every legislator can do the best job for his or her constituents.
It's important to understand that this Commission is only a starting point for change. It will solicit the input of every representative, the public and the state Senate in the coming weeks and months.
