Rep. Tim Mahoney joined fellow lawmakers at a state Capitol news conference to call for a 20 percent reduction in the funding allocation for the General Assembly in the 2008-09 state budget. Rep. Tim Mahoney joins representatives from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, Pennsylvania Common Cause and lawmakers from across the state to announce that members of the House may soon vote on a bill designed to give residents better access to state, county and municipal government records. Mahoney’s legislation (H.B. 443) would provide easier access to public records and create a new state agency to act as a facilitator for the public in accessing those records.
