A record crowd turns out at the State Theatre in Uniontown to hear about Pennsylvania’s new open records law. Rep. Tim Mahoney hosted a seminar for constituents and local elected officials to learn how the Open Records Office operates and the types of public documents people will be able to obtain under the new law.

Featured speaker at Rep. Mahoney's open records seminar was Terry Mutchler, director of the new state Office of Open Records. The office was established under the law to help people access public records and represent the public in appeals if they are denied access to state and local government records.

State Rep. Gary Haluska, D-Cambria, speaks to area residents during a public forum on the state budget at Mt. Aloysius College. The forum featured House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dwight Evans, D-Phila.
