State Rep. Ridgeway was one of seven winners in an essay contest sponsored by NFWL. Ridgeway, who was sponsored by Brown to compete in the contest, wrote Let Freedom Ring about Oprah Winfrey. State Rep. Bryan Barbin, D-Cambria, while satisifed with the broad outlines of a 2009-10 state budget agreement, nevertheless questioned some of the priorities in the budget plan with this sign he displayed during the news conference where legislative leaders announced the tentative agreement.

The Center for Dairy Excellence held the event to give dairy farmers the opportunity to see the farm’s best management practices and learn about resources available to help dairy farms succeed in Pennsylvania.
