Working with local dairy farmer Ann Fry, Rep. Mirabito showed Hedwig in the inaugural VIP Dairy Showmanship Competition at the 2010 Pennsylvania Farm Show. Mirabito said with more than 7,100 dairy farmers and 537,000 dairy cows, dairy is the largest sector of the state's agriculture industry, contributing $7 billion annually and providing more than 40,000 jobs. In Lycoming County, 6,800 cows produced 122.7 million pounds of milk. The industry provided 755 jobs and realized $93.4 million in total economic revenue in 2008. - 1/28/2010
