Top Issues

Gov. Rendell has signed into law my bill allowing older Pennsylvanians to “age in place” by defining assisted living and establishing licensing requirements for assisted living residences.

Getting the bill signed into law was the culmination of more than ten years of work. It’s extremely gratifying that we are finally able to do more to meet the needs of our seniors by allowing them to age in a more homelike environment.
