Chapman Township to receive $1,260 sewage grant
HARRISBURG, May 26 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, announced that Chapman Township, Clinton County, will receive $1,260 in sewage grant funding from the state Department of Environmental Protection.
The grant, make available through the state's Sewage Facilities Planning Grant Program, will be used to reimburse the township for 50 percent of the cost of preparing an official sewage plan.
The grant program was established in 1966 as part of a law that requires municipalities to develop and implement an official sewage plan that addresses their present and future sewage disposal needs. DEP reviews and approves the official plans and any subsequent revisions.
