House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, Game and Fisheries Committee to hold joint informational meeting and tour on deer farming in Pa.
HARRISBURG, Sept. 5 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, announced that the committee will hold a joint informational meeting and tour with the House Game and Fisheries Committee to discuss deer farming in Pennsylvania.
The event will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Mountain Ridge Whitetails, 1115 Dartmouth Road in Hummelstown.
Glenn Dice Jr. of Glenn Dice Farms will discuss deer farming in the Commonwealth, and Harry Strawser, owner of Mountain Ridge Whitetails and a member of the Pennsylvania Deer Farmers Association, will lead a tour of his 30-acre deer farm.
