Hanna announces grant for Chapman Township

HARRISBURG, Dec. 22 – State Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Clinton/Centre, today announced that Chapman Township, Clinton County has been awarded a $216 grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Hanna said the grant, which is funded through the Sewage Facilities Enforcement Grants Program, will reimburse 50 percent of the eligible expenses for performing sewage enforcement provisions.

"These grants go a long way in ensuring that our communities can depend on safe sewage infrastructure," said Hanna. "I applaud Chapman Township for doing the necessary work to secure this funding and maintain dependable sewage systems."

DEP's Sewage Facilities Enforcement Grants Program provides annual financial assistance to local agencies for performing enforcement activities. Reimbursement payments are made in an amount equal to no more than one half of the eligible expenses.
