Pashinski to announce special ceremony honoring military veterans
HARRISBURG, Feb. 21 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Luzerne, will be joined by several military veterans at a news conference to announce a special ceremony honoring World War II and Korean War veterans.
The announcement will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 24, at the American Legion Post 815, 54 Chestnut St. in Wilkes-Barre Township.
"This is the kickoff of our effort to let World War II and Korean War veterans know that we will personally honor their bravery and courage during a special ceremony in a few weeks." Pashinski said. "These veterans exemplify the greatness of the Greatest Generation and I hope they'll register to allow me to recognize their contributions to our nation."
Pashinski will release details about the ceremony and explain how veterans and their families can register to receive a personalized honor from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Pashinski will honor veterans of other wars during future events.
