Thomas to host informational budget forum in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, May 5 – State Rep. W. Curtis Thomas will host a forum on Pennsylvania's education budget from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15 in the Friends Neighborhood Guild headquarters at 735 Fairmont Ave.
Media coverage of the hearing is invited.
The seminar will educate community residents about the budget process in Pennsylvania and provide an overview of the state education budget and school funding. The goal of the program is to empower participants to take action by offering advocacy opportunities.
Thomas is hosting the event in partnership with the Friends Neighborhood Guild and William Penn EPIC Stakeholders. Residents may RSVP by calling Thomas' constituent service office at 215-232-1210 or sending an e-mail to aacevedo@pahouse.net.
