Lowery Brown announces March 28 HIV awareness event

PHILADELPHIA, March 19 – State Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown, D-Phila., today announced the 190th Legislative District HIV/AIDS Education Advisory Commission's HIV Awareness March and Parade will take place from noon to 3 p.m. next Saturday, March 28 at the Christ Community Baptist Church HIV/AIDS Ministry, 1224-30 N. 41st St.

"The march and parade are meant to offer inspiration and vision through advocacy and education," Lowery Brown said. "It's vital to educate people on the facts and risks about HIV and AIDS as well as to provide hope and support."

Lowery Brown said the free event is a product of the 190th Legislative District HIV/AIDS Education Initiative and will feature entertainment by The West Powelton Steppers.
