Waters
to host annual Senior Health Expo and Luncheon
PHILADELPHIA, April 28 -- Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Health, state Rep. Ronald G. Waters, D-Phila./Delaware, will host his seventh annual Senior Health Expo and Luncheon, the theme of which is "Live Long-Live Strong."
The event is set for 11 a.m. Friday, May 14 in the Turner Middle School Gymnasium, 5900 Baltimore Ave.
Soul food will be served and the event will feature the famous "Who put the 'P" in Pinochle tournament. There will also be games and health screenings, and a massage therapist will be on hand.
Waters also said he plans to honor at least one senior citizen in his district by presenting him or her with his resolution, which the House unanimously adopted this week, designating May as "Older Americans Month."
"I am grateful for the opportunity to show my appreciation to the seniors of my district," Waters said.
Waters said he and his staff will be available during the expo and luncheon to answer state-related questions and help constituents complete their driver's license registrations, health insurance, PACE and Property Tax Rent/Rebate application forms.
For more information, residents can contact Waters’ constituent service office at 215-748-6712.
