Congress Extends DTV Transition Period

On Feb. 11, President Obama signed into law the DTV Delay Act, thereby extending the deadline for completion of the nationwide DTV transition from Feb. 17 to June 12. The deadline extension gives consumers more time to prepare for the switch. Some TV stations will still make the transition on Feb. 17, while the rest must do so by the deadline.
