A procession of motorcyclists, more than 3 miles long and nearly 500 strong on Route 15, approaches Gettysburg. The convoy was the largest in the seven-year history of the Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education (A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania) “Ride to Gettysburg.” Not only was the turnout the largest yet, so were the proceeds, over $15,500. The money will benefit the Pennsylvania Gettysburg Monuments Project and the historic Daniel Lady Farm being preserved by the Gettysburg Battlefield Preservation Association.
