The memorial’s founders are working diligently to establish an endowment fund to help preserve the park. Each year a ceremony is held on the anniversary of the attacks, and other events are held throughout the year. - 9/15/2009


Rep. Santarsiero and Ellen Saracini , one of the founders of the Garden of Reflection 9-11 Memorial, discuss the history of the park from its inception to the present. Bucks County was the hardest hit per capita in the state as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, with 18 lives lost. The memorial was founded by five families of local victims. - 9/15/2009

Recently, we recognized the eighth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on our country. The official Pennsylvania memorial to the victims of that day is in Yardley, Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County. The Garden of Reflection is a walking memorial journey through tragedy and grief toward luminous symbols of hope, peace and celebration of life for the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives that day, including 17 from Bucks County. - 9/14/2009
