White House Team for Health Reform |
|
Rep. Shapiro has
been selected as one of 32 state legislators nationwide to help President Obama
reform health care. The group of lawmakers, named the "White House Team of State
Legislators for Health Reform," shared best practices and lessons learned
from their respective states in an effort to reduce overall cost, preserve
choice, and increase access to quality and affordable health care for all. The
team also solicited input from constituent groups and helped to promote
health-care reform nationally.
Rep. Shapiro held several town hall meeting in order for Pennsylvanians to share their input on national health-care reform. Rep. Shapiro reported back to the White House with all the feedback from these meetings.
