Time To Participate In 2010 U.S. Census

The U.S. Census is performed every ten years as a way to get an accurate count of the American population. The information gained from the census is used to determine congressional representation in Washington, D.C. as well as how federal money is spent regarding infrastructure projects, emergency services & schools. It is critical to complete the ten-question form when it comes to your house, or a census employee may visit your home for your answers. The information you provide is legally protected & the Census Bureau cannot share your answers with anyone, including the IRS, FBI, CIA or any other government agency. Keeping Your Energy Costs Down

Recently, Rep. Sturla held an Energy Fair in Lancaster City for the public to get information from state agencies and other organizations about weatherization, utility rates and how to lower energy bills.

Rep. Sturla's Education Priority

Rep. Sturla has been a champion for education issues in the legislature for over a decade. This session he has led the charge to implement a new formula to ensure that special education students aren’t shortchanged in schools. He fought to protect Lancaster's education funding in the 2009-10 state budget. He helped foster a partnership between Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and the state Department of General Services. And recently participated in Harrisburg Area Community College-Lancaster's inaugural 20th Anniversary Speaker Series event.
