House committee OKs Surra bill to cut school costs!
The House Education Committee has approved legislation I introduced that could eventually place most public school teachers and other school employees in Pennsylvania under a statewide health benefits plan.
The plan has the potential to save Pennsylvania school districts hundreds of millions of dollars, resulting in lower property taxes and fewer teacher strikes. [Read more.]
