Brian Kirkland was first elected in 2016 to serve as state representative for the 159th Legislative District.
Prior to his election, Kirkland served as Special Projects Coordinator for the City of Chester. His public service experience includes serving as Director of Constituent Affairs for former state Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland, Brian's uncle.
The relationships built through that experience helped him hit the ground running in Harrisburg. As a state representative, he is focused on increasing school funding, improving education, job creation and issues facing seniors and veterans.
Kirkland serves as a deacon at Community Baptist Church, where he runs a youth mentoring program.
Kirkland attended East Stroudsburg University. He lives in Chester and is the proud father of a young daughter.
