Kirkland sworn in for second term as state representative
HARRISBURG, Jan. 1 – During a Capitol ceremony, state Rep. Brian Kirkland today was sworn in for his second term as state representative for the 159th Legislative District.
“Serving the residents of this district is an honor, and as I enter my second term, I’m focused on addressing the issues that matter to them,” said Kirkland, D-Delaware. “We need to continue to increase our investment in public education, work to connect residents with in-demand jobs, and ensure our communities are safe places to live. I’m proud to keep fighting on residents’ behalf.”
Kirkland was first elected in 2017. In his first term, he helped secure numerous grants for projects in the 159th District and hosted a number of community events, including senior health events, job fairs and expungement clinics.
