Kirkland applauds $701,000 awarded to Upper Chichester Township
UPPER CHICHESTER, July 13 – State Rep. Brian Kirkland, D-Delaware, is applauding a $701,140 investment to strengthen traffic safety measures in Upper Chichester Township.
The grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s “Green Light-Go” program will modernize the traffic signal at the Route 452, Chestnut Street and Interstate 95 interchange.
“I expect this project to help alleviate some of the major backups this area experiences. The traffic congestion at the interchange at Route 452, Chestnut Street and I-95 can create major delays for travelers, and I’m happy that this money from the state could help with an issue that impacts so many residents of my district,” Kirkland said.
