You might be surprised what's in the PA Treasury; it might even hold some of your money! More than $4 billion is held in the treasury, with an estimated 1 in 10 residents having some type of property.
My team and I will recover what is rightfully yours! The state Treasury holds unclaimed property, which can include lost paychecks or balances from long-forgotten bank accounts that you didn't know about because of clerical errors – like a misspelled name or incorrect address. The process involves searching databases and filling out forms, and while I have introduced bills to streamline this process, my team knows how to cut the red tape for you. A member of the PA Treasury will join us to help recover what's yours as quickly as possible.
My team and I will jump through all the hoops so you can recover your items. Join us:
- 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Friday, March 14th
- My District Office: Peninsula Plaza, 1101 Peninsula Dr., Suite 213, Erie
If you can’t make the event: We are open Monday through Friday to help you search the PA Treasury database. No appointment is required.

STATE INVESTMENTS IN LOCAL SCHOOLS
|
Reading opens the door to so many opportunities. Making reading fun for kids means we are laying the groundwork for developing great students, professionals and colleagues. When we add positive rewards for good behavior, we encourage kids to also grow up to be great neighbors.
Last week, we unveiled Tracy Elementary School’s new book vending machine. Students can earn tokens to use in the machine with good behavior, and then they can retrieve books to take home for their personal collection.
A state grant — a joint effort with my office and the PTA of Tracy Elementary – helped make this a reality. I’m hopeful this is yet another great tool that helps children get excited about doing well in the classroom!

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS
|
A new program opens today to help address PA’s workforce needs. Students can receive up to a $5,000 grant each year, and they must work one year in PA in that occupation post-graduation for every year that they received the scholarship.
Grow PA has 460 eligible programs for in-demand careers like nursing, education and law enforcement. If the work requirement is not met, students will repay the grant in the form of a loan. Read more here.

FOCUSED ON YOUR NEEDS, HELPING PEOPLE

As a member of the House Majority Leadership team, I travel the state as Chairman of the Policy Committee, hosting hearings with lawmakers, experts and advocates looking to improve lives. We've hosted nine hearings so far this year across four ZIP codes, on our way to the typical 100 hearings we host each session.
UP NEXT: Next week, the committee hosts a hearing in Harrisburg on Sustainable Long-Term Care. You can watch and read about the hearings here.

When private for-profit schools and their dark money backers came after Fairview and Millcreek School Districts to siphon off taxpayer dollars to make a profit off taxpayers. I stopped them. We need to protect our high-performing schools!
My team and I deliver for local people & projects. We cut the red tape in Harrisburg to secure the support our region needs.
- When our schools need funding ...
- When our police officers need a new vehicle to preserve lives ...
- When our firefighters need funds for life-saving equipment ...
We delivered to the tune of more than $92 million during the 2023-24 legislative session.
