Bizzarro lauds education, workforce development and environmental investments in Gov. Tom Wolf’s 2020 budget address

HARRISBURG, Feb. 4 -- Following Governor Tom Wolf’s budget address, state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro said he’s looking forward to continuing to work for Pennsylvania and released the following statement:

“When we can generate savings in our education budget while also ensuring a fair and equitable investment in Pennsylvania’s schools, the entire Commonwealth benefits. Every child that gets a quality education starting at pre-K has a better chance for a brighter future. I support investing in our children and Pennsylvania’s future through high quality public education.

“I look forward to hearing more about Governor Wolf’s Innovation Plan. Improving job training and providing increased job opportunities will empower local businesses and job seekers to obtain good family-sustaining jobs here in Erie.  We have to meet the needs of today’s employers and employees while we also prepare our workforce for the jobs of the future.

“Our district is rich in natural beauty like Presque Isle and Edinboro Lake. It’s important we do all we can to keep water, land and air clean as we remain stewards of our environment. Investing in our state’s Department of Environmental Protection is an investment in the health and safety of our family, friends and neighbors.”

Bizzarro represents the third legislative district in Erie County including parts of Millcreek Township as well as McKean Township, Washington Township and the boroughs of Edinboro and McKean.
