Erie businesses received $3 million through Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Relief Program

124 small businesses received necessary aid in 2021

ERIE, Nov. 29 – State Rep. Ryan Bizzaro, D-Erie, said 124 local hospitality businesses in Erie County received support totaling $3 million in 2021 to help them overcome the toughest times of the pandemic.

The funds came from the COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Relief Program, a program designed to protect and support the hospitality industry during the pandemic.

“The pandemic had wide-reaching economic effects on the hospitality industry in Erie,” Bizzarro said. “The hospitality industry is essential to our region, and I will always fight for small businesses, so they get the support they need, and our economy remains strong.”
